The City of Bloomington has chosen an interim Parks and Recreation Director. Roberta "Bobbie" Herakovich (huhr-AH-kuh-vitch) has 40 years of experience and retired in January as Director of the Champaign Park District. Bloomington City Manager David Hales says Herakovich's vast experience will greatly aid the city as it moved through hiring a permanent director of parks, recreation and cultural arts. Previous Parks and Rec Chief John Kennedy resigned earlier this month to take a job in Arizona.
