ISU's Capen Auditorium stands to receive more than a million dollars in repairs thanks to funds being released by Governor Quinn. According to information provided by the governor's office, Capen Auditorium in Edwards Hall will get new seats, carpeting and curtains, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing system upgrades. The auditorium will also get a fresh coat of paint. $1.27 million was allocated for the project. The funds come from a nearly $6 million dollar package for projects in McLean, Tazewell, Woodford, Peoria and LaSalle Counties. They are authorized by the 2009 Illinois Jobs Now capital bill.
