Bloomington is looking for public comment on whether to create special regulations for medical marijuana growing facilities and dispensaries. The planning commission is discussing extra rules on top of the state's zoning formulas for medical marijuana centers. Commission member Robert Wills says outside imput is necessary.
"I would like a little more from council, city council, do we need to do anything is there a liability if we do not, and what's the next step from there...?"
After a public hearing on June 25th, the commission will provide a recommendation to the city council. One growing facility and dispensary will be able to set up in McLean County.
