The McLean County city of LeRoy could be home to a growing business. The community's one possible site for a marijuana farm to supply the drug to patients under the state's new Medical Marijuana law. In theory, patients suffering from certain diseases, or from side effects due to treatment of the disease are eligible to receive marijuana to ease their pain and discomfort. In reality, it's likely be years before the first prescription is written. Many of those targeted by the new law may well be dead by then. The name of the company interested in growing the pot in McLean County is not being made available by officials in LeRoy.
