Three Arrested Following Early-morning Attack In Normal

Police in Normal nabbed some suspects in connection with an early-morning robbery near the Uptown area. Shortly after 1 AM, a male reported to police he had been beaten and robbed by a group of male suspects near College Avenue and Constitution Boulevard. The victim told police his cellphone and head phones were taken during the attack. He suffered facial, arm and leg lacerations and was treated at the scene by Fire Rescue personnel.

Police later stopped a group of males. After questioning, three were booked for robbery and mob action. Two are identified as 19-year old Tory Washington, and 18-year old Willie Chamber Jr, both of Bloomington. The third is a juvenile. Another juvenile was not charged.
