Uncomfortable Conversation: Handing The Land Down The farm workforce in Illinois averages close to 60 years old. Every year the average rises as old farmers get older and not that many new ones step in to work the land. This presents problems when ag producers DO decide they want to step back. WGLT's Charlie Schlenker has more on how difficult it is to plan for farmland succession...

The Land Connection's Farm Succession Roundtable will be 6:30 p.m. June 17th   at the Launchpad in the 300 block of East Front Street in Bloomington. A light supper featuring local foods will be served. Registration is required.
