The results are in for the United Way of McLean County 2014 Community Assessment. Transportation, poverty, and awareness of services in the community are common themes in the report. Community leaders from the area, including the United Way of McLean County director, David Taylor, spoke with the public yesterday about what to do with the data collected. Taylor says the next step is to narrow the community needs down.
"What I envision is us pulling together, just because the report is done this process doesn't stop. Now that we've got this what are the key, or main areas? Because there's so much here you can't address every one of these areas."
People at the meeting also suggested forming a community group that meets regularly to address and act upon needs assessed in the report. The full report is available on the United Way of McLean County's website.
