The McLean County Health Department is set to approve a residential mental health crisis treatment center, probably next month. The department deferred approval of funding to three health service agencies for the center, which has been under consideration for years as mental healthcare delivery has declined due to reduced funding and other reasons. The deferred funding recommendations are $400,000 to Chestnut Health Systems, $362,000 to Center For Human Services and $40,000 to PATH. If approved, the center will be located next to Chesnut's west Bloomington facility.
