The Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington now has a Texas Longhorn Steer. The breed developed to graze on open range in dry conditions was partly responsible for development of the southwest. The steer is named Lord Antioch and the six year old weighs 1,800 pounds and has 85 inches of horn. Zoo Superintendant Jay Tetzloff says the Miller Park Zoo is excited to showcase the steer through the end of summer from a loan by the Heaven On Earth Ranch.
