Andrew Evans is a seasoned traveler. Well seasoned. He's National Geographic's Digital Nomad. That's his title. It's on his business card. He travels the world and shares it live on Twitter. He has more than 31,000 Tweets and more than 31,000 followers. He also blogs daily and writes for National Geographic Traveler Magazine. His latest project is traveling Route 66. He began in Chicago on Thursday. Our interview was scheduled for Thursday afternoon, but he made so many stops to take photographs and Tweet between Chicago and Pontiac that the interiview didn't happen until Friday. He tells WGLT's Mike McCurdy working as National Geographic's Digital Nomad is the perfect job -- one he helped create with his editor.
You'll hear check-ins with Andrew Evans as he continues his two week journey along the 2,400 miles of Route 66. We'll try to catch him in Adrian, TX -- the halfway point on Route 66. Find him on Facebook and Twitter.
