E-Cigarette makers have more than doubled marketing over the past 12 months to nearly $60-Million a year. Illinois US Senator Dick Durbin says those marketing efforts target kids:
"These cigarettes are a candy flavored addiction."
Those candy flavors include "Grape Mint," "Peachy Keen," and " Cherry Crush." Durbin joins 10 other democrats releasing a report that says manufacturers use tactics like youth oriented events, and commercials aired when younger viewers are watching. He says the new gateway to addiction for children has to be closed.
