The Future Of Jazz: Part One Adam Larson This is Jazz Appreciation month. GLT's Jon Norton talks with young jazz musicians, educators and students from the Twin Cities to canvass their thoughts on this aging art form. In the first of this four part series, Norton catches up with a saxophonist now living in New York City who is very optimistic about jazz.

Saxophonist and Twin City native Adam Larson with "This As Well," a song from his latest CD "Overdue Ovation."
Larson plays the Normal Amphitheater May 28th, and the Jazz Showcase in Chicago May 29th.
During Jazz Appreciation month in April, we're catching up with young Twin City musicians, educators and students
to get their thoughts on the state of jazz. Later this month, you'll hear from educators in Unit 5 and District 87 who are
introducing jazz to their students. Next week, you'll meet another young saxophonist now living in New York City whose interest
is in an older style of jazz, and talks about the need for colleges and universities to better prepare their students for the "business" of music.
