ISU Farm Halts Visits

The potential of contamination is enough for the Illinois State University Farm to pull the plug on visitors. The porcine epidemic diarrhea virus was first identified in the US two years ago, since then millions of pigs have died because of the disease. The virus, which dehydrates animals in their early vulnerable days of life, doesn't attack humans, and is not a risk to food safety.
