This year is the 100th anniversary of the extinction of the Passenger Pigeon. At one time it was the most abundant bird in North America. The author of a new book, the first major work on the passenger pigeon in a half century, speaks at Illinois Wesleyan University Thursday. WGLT's Charlie Schlenker has more.
Joel Greenberg's presentation at Illinois Wesleyan University is Thursday April 3 at 7 pm at the Center for Natural Sciences, Room 101. It's co-sponsored by the John Wesley Powell Audubon Society and IWU.
