Five days after taking over as president at Illinois State University, Larry Dietz has named his first key administrator at ISU. The former Vice President of Student Affairs selected one of his top lieutenants, Brent Paterson, to assume his old position. Paterson has been ISU's Senior Associate Vice President. He came to ISU in 2001 after serving as a student affairs administrator at Texas A&M for 17 years. He received his doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Denver. Dietz became ISU president late last week when former President Tim Flanagan resigned amid controversy. Paterson's interim appointment expires in June of 2016.
