The United Way of McLean County has hired a new President and CEO. He is David Taylor, who has worked as an underwriting and business analyst in operations at State Farm Insurance. He has been in leadership for seven years and at State Farm for 17 years. Taylor has also volunteered with the United Way for more than six years and is currently the Chair of the Education Solutions Team. In a United Way news release, Taylor says he looks forward to identifying the solutions necessary to meet the needs of tomorrow. He is a lifelong resident of McLean County. Board Chair Ann Frederick says in a news release that she is extremely pleased with the selection of David Taylor. Frederick says the board is confident in Taylor's leadership and management experience at State Farm Insurance, his knowledge of the community, and his commitment to partnership. Taylor replaces interim CEO Alan Chapman in late April. The United Way is also promoting Gina Mandros to Vice President of Operations. Mandros now directs resource development. The United way partners with various service providers to improve the lives, education, income, and health of McLean County residents.
