Illinois State Senator Kirk Dillard - a Republican candidate for governor - says he would like to see some of his primary opponents drop out of the race. Recent polls show venture capitalist Bruce Rauner with a large lead over his three other Republican opponents. Dillard says some recent endorsements give him an edge in the race over State Senator Bill Brady and Treasurer Dan Rutherford.
Dillard says both Brady and Rutherford are un-electable. But a recent Chicago Tribune poll showed Dillard with the least support of all four candidates. The Illinois primary is March 18th.
