Valentines day, a day of love...AND MONEY! A new survey by Bloomington-based Country Financial shows nearly three quarters of Americans are turned off if they person they're dating has a lot of debt. Joe Burhmann is the manager of financial security support at Country. He says most, over 70%, of people who are in a relationship have a pretty good idea of their significant others' finances:
"72%, so almost three quarters said they know exactly how much debt their significant others have."
Buhrmann says that goes up a little for married people, 81% of whom say they know their spouses finances. He also says the Country survey also shows 70% of people were more comfortable talks about money than previous romantic relationships.
