Temple Grandin may be the most famous autistic person on earth. Currently living in Colorado Springs where she designs cattle facilities, Grandin was born in Massachusetts. She was diagnosed as autistic at age 2, and later labeled "brain damaged." She now is a doctor of animal science at Colorado State University. Grandin is also hailed by parents of autistic children as a hero. Grandid is speaking at Eureka College today, and GLT's Jim Browne was able to reach her in Colorado before she boarded the flight:
Temple Grandin is speaking at Eureka College at 12:30 this afternoon and again at 7:30 this evening at the Cerf Center.
