Wildlife officials say changes in water temperature are to blame for a central Illinois fish kill. More than 5,300 dead fish were found this week in Clinton Lake. The dead fish included walleye, bass, crappie and channel catfish. Tim Schweizer is a spokesman for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. He says abrupt changes in water temperature ``are not uncommon at a power plant lake.'' The DeWitt County lake is near one of Exelon's nuclear power plants.
