Jurors in Peoria convicted a man of murder in a double shooting last April that left one person dead and another injured. 22-year-old Marquis Costic faces between 20 and 60 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for February 27. Costic was convicted of first-degree murder, aggravated battery and mob action in the death of 17-year-old Treyshawn Blakely. Costics brother, 24-year-old Michael Costic, is scheduled to go to trial on similar charges this month.
