McLean County's chief economic development office now has a permanent leader. John Grabo, currently a technology and business development director at the University of Arizona, will take the reigns of the Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council. According to a news release from the EDC, Grabo has more than 30 years experience working various economic development agencies. He has served as senior vice president and interim president of the Greater Tuscon Economic Council, and oversaw that agency's capital campaign. Grabo succeeds Marty Vanags, who left for a similar position in the Indianapolis area about a year ago.
