Illinois State University has received a substantial grant from the National Science Foundation to develop computer science teachers for schools. It's a crucial mission. By some accounts in 20 years, the U.S. will need a million more computer science graduates than are now projected to be available. And only one in ten high schools teaches the subject. Less than three dozen teachers are certified to instruct Computer Science in Illinois. WGLT's Charlie Schlenker has more.
