We've been asking for your sounds. We all move in different circles, have different friends, work different places, and do different things. We want to hear it. We're calling it Sound Share. Mike McCurdy, who recently recorded some sounds in the Shawnee National Forest, has more.
See photos of Burden Falls. Thanks to Michael Brown for some of the photos.
Sound Share Tips: Are you ready to be an amateur reporter for GLT? Use the built in recorder on your smart phone. After hitting record, hold the phone steady. The "microphone" might be on the bottom of the phone, where you talk, so you may want to hold the phone upside down. In some cases, you may want to get as close to the audio as possible. After you've recorded at least a solid :30 seconds to a minute (the more the better), push stop. The audio should save automatically and you should be able to email it directly from your smart phone to firstname.lastname@example.org. We're looking forward to hearing what you record for Sound Share.
