Heartland Community College has closed the door on a Presidential search process by beginning a search for a new Vice President of Business Services. That door was only open a crack anyway. The Vice Presidential slot was Rob Widmer's old position before the Heartland Board selected him as interim President in June and then removed the interim title a month later with a statement that the board was in no particular rush to do a search. Board President Gregg Chadwick says they are extremely pleased that Widmer agreed to become the College's President. The Board says the complexities of running an institution like Heartland requires both a President and A VP for Business. Widmer says he will do his best to move the college in a consistently positive direction.
