Eureka College has frozen tuition and fees for the next academic year at this year's rates. The College in the small Woodford County town several years ago adopted a truth in tuition program to boost enrollment by halting all discounting and bargaining over tuition. Now, College President J. David Arnold says the recession in Illinois was more severe than in the nation as a whole and the regional recovery is slower, so Eureka is committing to a partnership with students and their families to make sure college remains affordable. Eureka College tuition will remain at about $20,000 for the academic year. This is the second time in the last ten years that the college has frozen tuition. The College is best known around the nation as the alma mater of former President Ronald Reagan.
