Bloomington-based State Farm and Country Insurance have released the first set of claim numbers from Sunday's severe weather. State Farm says it has so far handled 2,900 claims from Illinois homeowners reporting wind and hail damage. There have been 1,700 claims from Indiana, 900 in Michigan and 400 from Ohio, all associated with the tornadoes that tore through the Midwest Sunday. Meanwhile, Country Insurance reports 3,231 Illinois claims, the majority of those from property damage. Country has recieved 667 Illinois auto claims so far.
