When same-sex couples begin to wed in Illinois this summer, some businesses that make those weddings happen may face a delicate predicament. Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to sign the legislation into law tomorrow. It says religious institutions or clergy don't have to allow gay weddings. But it's not as clear for the wedding-related businesses who object on religious grounds. That may result in more court battles in President Barack Obama's home state, just as other states have seen. Attorneys on both sides are gearing up for the possibility. For some business owners it could mean putting personal beliefs aside. Suburban Chicago wedding planner Virginia Pruitt bills her business as Christian-owned and doesn't agree with same-sex marriage. Even so, she feels she can't turn anyone away.
