Volunteer Helping In Washington, IL National Weather Service crews are surveying storm damage across Illinois. Meteorologists are trying to gauge the strenth of tornados that touched down in New Minden, Coal City, and around the Peoria area, including Washington. During Sound Ideas, Mike McCurdy talked with a Town of Normal resident who is volunteering to help his hometown of Washington, IL.


In addition donating to the Red Cross relief efforts, the Salvation Army is accepting text donations. Test "Storm" to 80888 for an instant $10.00 donation to help those affected by Sunday's storms.
