Halloween is a time for chocolate. Kids and adults gorge on it. A candy industry survey notes three quarters of Americans say chocolate is their favorite Halloween treat. For a holiday with a dark pagan tradition, perhaps that's appropriate, because the history of chocolate is anything but sunny. WGLT's Charlie Schlenker has more with Illinois Wesleyan University Political Scientist William Munro, who teaches a course on "the social history of a candy bar."
