Ruth Ann Fraker is the new Interim Director of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation. Fraker replaces Myra Gordon who is stepping down for health reasons after six years in the job. Fraker has held a variety of high profile jobs in the twin cities including Bloomington Township Supervisor, and temporary stints at the helm of Westminster Village and the YWCA of McLean County. Under Myra Gordon's tenure, the Community Foundation disbursements have increased from $12,000 per year to more than $100,000 and total assets are now approaching $10 million. Foundation Board President Paul Harmon says he is deeply saddened Gordon's health requires her to step down. A search for a permanent director will begin. Gordon says she hopes to return in a part time capacity later.
