Bloomington Brewery Expanding

Bloomington Normal's commercial brewery is expanding again. CEO Matt Potts of Destihl says they will put a canning line in early next year...


Potts says the brewery off GE Road has already added another row of fermenters, tripling capacity to about 10,000 barrels, since it opened in May. He says Destihl is carefully watching the government shutdown. Without federal approval for new labels such as seasonal brews and the varieties intended for the canning line, Destihl will be inconvenienced. Potts says he had planned on applying for those labels within a month, but it is uncertain how long the backlog wiull last once the government restarts.
