Community Planners want to know what West Bloomington residents think of the area, and are convening a focus group to find out. Matthew Tomlin, a Stevenson Center graduate student working with the United Way, is putting the group together. He says the area is home to a very diverse population when it comes to age, gender, and ethnicity, and he hopes the focus goup will reflect that:
"We want a group that's representative of the larger community, and that can speak to, because when you talk about community, what are you saying, because there's so many communities within west Bloomington that we hope that we'll be able to represent that with our focus group."
Tomlin says they want to hear what residents like about West Bloomington, as well as how the area could be improved. He says the only criteria are that panelists be at least 18, live in West Bloomington, and want to share their experiences and impressions of the area. The Focus Group's scheduled to meet Wednesday (10/16) evening.
To be a part of the focus group, contact Matthew Tomlin at (309) 828-7383, or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
