Piccaso Model For Sale Christie's Chicago will display the original model of Pablo Picasso's "Tete" which has stood in front of Chicago's Civic Center since 1967. The sheet metal model, which the famed artist kept while sending another to Chicago, will be displayed Oct. 2 before it is auctioned in New York on Nov. 4, for as much as $25 million or more. The model of the iconic winged creature is the top work from the auction called "A Dialogue Through Art: Works from The Jan Krugier Collection." Krugier was a dealer and collector. Picasso conceived of and created the Tete from 1962 to 1964. Unveiled in August 1967, it still stands in its original site in Daley Plaza. Constructed in welded iron, it's considered the Spaniard's last great sculpture.
