A Peoria woman was already grieving the shooting death of her daughter when shots were fired at her home over the weekend, killing a man at the home. The shooting occurred about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of Malinda Smith. Her 24-year-old daughter KeiAmber Beard was shot and killed along with Beard's boyfriend, James Anthony Irby, during a home invasion on Thursday. Authorities say 25-year-old Melvin Sanders was at Smith's home on Saturday night when he was shot. He was pronounced dead just after midnight on Sunday. Police say a second person was wounded. Peoria has been hit with a spate of deadly violence over the last week, with gunshot victims every day. It was not immediately known if police had suspects.
