The dean of intercity high school head football coaches is stepping down. Bobby Moews is retiring just a few weeks into his 23rd season at Bloomington Central Catholic. Moews says he's leaving the post for "personal reasons" but is not saying anything more. In a statement to the media, CCHS Principal Joy Allen thanked Moews for his more than two decades of service. Moews' brother Mike will take over the head coaching duties for the remainder of the season. A former CCHS quarterback, Bobby Moews led the Saints to state football titles as head coach in 1994 and 2008.
