A 22-year-old Bloomington woman has been indicted by a McLean County grand jury on first-degree murder charges in the death of her 3-year-old son. Danielle Fischer is charged based on allegations she failed to take Robert Cramer for medical care after he was struck by Fischer's boyfriend. The indictment for murder, handed up yesterday, is in addition to child endangerment charges filed against Fischer in April. An autopsy by the McLean County coroner determined the child died from peritonitis caused by blunt force trauma to his abdomen. Fischer's boyfriend, Nicholas Compton, was previously charged with murder in the boy's March 29 death. The grand jury yesterday added aggravated aggravated domestic battery and eight counts of aggravated battery to a child against Compton.
