A Livingston County foster mother will remain in jail after a Ford County judge wouldn't lower her $2 million bond after being charged with two counts of murder for the death of a 4-year-old girl under her care. Twenty-nine-year-old Heather Lamie was arrested in late June for the 2011 death of Kianna Russell. The girl died at a Peoria hospital and was ruled a homicide. She had blunt force trauma and brain injuries. A lawyer for the Cullom woman had hoped a judge would lower her bond to $100,000. But prosecutors say she's a flight risk because the murder charge is accompanied by a potential life sentence. Lamie is also charged with felony child endangerment. She's set to stand trial Oct. 21.
