Bloomington police are looking into an allegation of officer misconduct stemming from an incident at a restaurant early one morning last month. On June 30th police were called to Denny's Restaurant on Eldorado Road to break up a fight. According to a BPD release, several hundred people had gathered in the parking lot as a fight broke out inside. As police were trying to clear the establishment, they say a patron identified as Gabriella Calhoun struck one of the officers with her fist. She was later booked on charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting and obstructing police. Police say a third party has filed allegations of improper police conduct regarding the incident. Also during the mele, which police say they broke up with pepper spray, they say a stabbing victim ran from the scene. Police say the victim later admitted being stabbed but decided against pressing charges.
