Prosecutors want a judge to move the trial of a man accused of killing five members of a central Illinois family, and bar the defense attorney from talking to the media. Logan County prosecutors have filed emergency motions. Christopher Harris' trial is scheduled to begin April 29 in Peoria. He's accused of the 2009 beating deaths of Ruth and Rick Gee and three of their children in their Beason home. The trial was moved to Peoria because of pretrial publicity. But prosecutors say a recent television interview given by defense attorney Dan Fultz might taint the pool of prospective jurors. Fultz claims that the Gees' 14-year-old son killed his family and that Harris walked in on the crime and killed the teen in self-defense.
