The Illinois State Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Bloomington's east side. At about 1:30 this morning police got a domestic call on Melrose Court. The caller told police a gun had been pulled during the argument. When officers arrived about 15 minutes later, they were met by a man with a pistol in his hand. An officer shot and killed the man. The name of the dead man, and the officer who fired at him, are not available.
