The death of a Bloomington and Hudson firefighter who died last week while responding to a traffic accident near Hudson nearly brought a state representative to tears. Bloomington republican Dan Brady called for his legislative colleagues to pause and remember Chris Brown:
Brady says Chris' biggest accomplishments, the ones he took most pride in, were as father and husband. The funeral for Brown was scheduled this morning. The driver of the semi that hit Brown, and five other emergency workers, has been charged with violating "Scott's Law." That requires drivers to move over if an emergency vehicle is on the shoulder of the road. 28 year old Masnsur Shakirov of Spokane Washington is also charged with driving too fast for conditions.
