A McLean County Circuit Judge has decided not to send a 25-year-old man who pleaded guilty to money laundering for a drug ring to prison because he suffers from cystic fibrosis. Judge Robert Freitag has sentenced Dustin Pulliam of Saybrook to three years of probation. Government medical benefits and other support Pulliam depends on for treatment would have stopped had he been sent to prison. Pulliam pleaded guilty in December. He was among seven people charged as part of a McLean County Sheriff's Department investigation into shipments of marijuana from California. Several have been sentenced to either prison or probation.
