The issue of same sex marriage might be getting some movement this week in the Illinois statehouse. A house committee is expected to vote tomorrow on the latest bill. State Representative Ann Williams sponsors it:
"Support for the bill continues to grow and we’re feeling very optimistic about what’s going to happen in the next couple of weeks and looking forward to having marriage equality throughout Illinois very soon."
The state Senate approved same-sex marriage earlier this month by a vote of 32-21, but the vote is expected to be closer in the House.
