Bond set for teen accused of killing another teen

A McLean County Judge has set bond of a half million dollars for the 17-year old man from Normal accused of killing a Bloomington teen on Martin Luther King Day. The State's Attorney's office has also charged Lar'Ron Carroll with Involuntary Manslaughter, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Unlawful Use of A Firearm. Carroll allegedly shot Kuantrae Massey in the chest with a handgun on January 21st at the Danbury Court Apartments in southwest Bloomington. Massey died at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington after relatives rushed him there. It was the first homicide of the year in Bloomington. There was only one homicide in that city in all of last year.
