Bloomington Police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of sixteen year old Kuantrae Massey. Police Spokesman Dave White says seventeen year old Larron Carroll of Normal is in custody, booked for Involuntary Manslaughter, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Obstruction of Justice. A 16 year old Juvenile is also in custody for Obstructing Justice. White says a number of things combined to produce the break in the case.

"It would have been a combination of a lot of interviews that they did, the detectives with lots of different people. The final interviews that lead up to the arrests were today. And that was where the obstruction charges came in for the sixteen year old juvenile. They just pieced everything together and two and two finally added up to four."

Kuantrae Massey died at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center after he was shot with a handgun eight days ago on Ginger Trail in the southwest side Danbury Apartments. White says the investigation continues and officers are saying little about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Larron Carroll will go before a judge tomorrow afternoon.
