It took firefighters in Normal about an hour to put out a blaze this morning at 19 Payne Place. Fire officials in Normal estimate fire, smoke and water damage to the single family home at $85,000 and say it is a total loss. One family has been left homeless as a result of the blaze. No one was at home when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
