The Andrew Mellon Foundation is giving Illinois Wesleyan University $300,000 to stengthen the humanities at the Bloomington institution. Provost Jonathan Green says history, philosophy, religion, landguages, and literature serve as a gateway to the study of other disciplines. The money will be used to foster those connections inside the university and from IWU to the community.
