The Normal Town Council pulled a tree-trimming licence ordinance, designed to mitigate fraud, from the agenda last night, out of concern for local business owners. Councilman Kevin McCarthy felt the ordinance required another look after more discussion with local service providers...
The ordinance would require those offering tree-trimming services within the town to be licensed, and work within restrictions meant to prevent overcharging and other fraudulent activity by service providers from outside of the community.
