Delta Air Lines is adding capacity at the Central Illinois Regional Airport. Airport officials say starting in March the morning departure to Atlanta will be on a 126 passenger Airbus 3-19. That adds 50 seats and a first class section to the regional jet that had been serving the Bloomington to Atlanta route for Delta. Two other daily flights will remain regional jets. Airport Authority Chair Paul Harmon calls it an encouraging sign that Delta is choosing to invest in the twin cities market with their main line fleet. Delta also serves Detrois and Minneapolis from Bloomington.
